gone - Adam

"Lord, now let your servant go in peace..."

Lit. of Hours - Sunday Night Prayer (Canticle)

Many of you may know, through recent conversation, that one of our missionaries, one of my brothers, is moving on to serve God in a different way. He left on Monday to head back home to Cali. I don't think I've expressed this to many of you back home, but many in AZ know how much Adam means to me. Kat had the perfect term for this...he was my "little". He understood me more than most in AZ. We shared many things in common: including food, music, ghetto terms, lack of ability to speak spanish even though we're mexican, movies, ideals...I miss him. So for some self comfort... I decided to write a little diddy for ma homie. =)

This Is How I Roll!

I'm not sure if I ever shared in my blogs about my roll at the Life Teen headquarters. As a missionary, part of our service while in Arizona is to share our gifts in the office. In October, we all received our different avenues of service based on our interest, knowledge, experience...etc. Some were assigned to the media dept, some to resources (writing and editing), some when to work in the online store, and I got was priviledged to work on the direct contact team. I set up databases to help along any form of communication and relationship with youth ministers and priests. I also answered phones for a while. I liked where I was and I worked with.

During our time in the office, the missionaries have scheduled time to be in the chapel. For the past couple weeks, on my way to the chapel, I've felt moved to ask Tobi how she's doin and for her prayer intentions. Tobi is the events coordinator. Most of Life Teen's events happen during the summer and early spring. So right now is crunch time in getting registrations together, programming done, facility needs..etc. Oh and she's getting married May 1st. So I've been praying for her a lot...asking God to give her the grace, patience and help to handle it all. I've prayed for her for the past few weeks and guess what happened....Yea...that's right! I prayed so hard.... I ended up praying my way into her office. My roll in the office has switched. To be completely honest... I'm super excited to work with her! I know that might make me sound like a big dork, but I am really happy. Apparently I'm not the only one who's happy about it too. So...yea. I thought I'd just share some of that with you.

God bless!
